Epilogue of moxibustion book in ancient Korea

Translation

Acupuncture and Moxibustion Clinical Experience Protocols was written by Huh, Im. Many famous doctors worldwide wrote their own books. The treatment methods are old, and the secrets are so concealed that even teachers are worried about not understanding them. It would be more so for the grassroots.

People called Im Huh the medicine of God, and the patients he treated were innumerable. He saved many dying people and earned him fame; other doctors revered him as the best doctor. We tested the protocols with our hands after hearing them from our ears and keeping them in our hearts. He made things clear when there was uncertainty, summarized things when there was something cumbersome, and made corrections when there was something incorrect. The secrets to the causes and treatments of diseases become transparent in front of the eyes as you open the book. The book is concise, straightforward, well summed-up, and detailed.

There is nothing better than herbs in light of effectiveness as you look into symptoms. No matter how precious they may be, they would only be helpful if the we could prepare herbs. Where could we obtain the special herbs in the poor village? Moreover, healing would be difficult to expect with one treatment with herbs.

Acupuncture and moxibustion are not like herbs. They are easy to prepare, and their effectiveness is also rapid. The protocols are a shortcut to point. If you obtain the book, and follow symptoms and treat them, every house will have the medicine of God. Those who you can save will be innumerable. You should share and spread it among people. People will need to consider it precious.

Under the order of Ryu Kim, a high-ranking official in the Royal Medical Center, I requested that the official in Honam province publish the book. This is to honor the wishes of the king that all the people have good health and life. People who observe it in the future will need to keep its continuation.
